It's been a long day here at Mission Control. While I was out tending the garden, my technical people managed to loose contact with The Island Girls (if you want something done right, I guess you have to do it yourself!) on the far side of Toronto. There nothing like the Canadian Dark Side to disrupt communications.
Anyway, after sweating through some tense hours, we were relieved to learn about 7:30 pm CDT that Tab and Liz were nearly home, burning through the atmosphere on the Dan Ryan and heading for landing in Elk Grove Village. Someone just yelled something about a drag chute, but I don't know what they mean...
We all hope that their contact with Far Side (i.e., the Great White North) will lead to good things. Relationships with our friends, colleagues and customers are so important to us, we'd go to the ends of the earth - or at least Canada - for them. As usual, we will take it one step at a time.
Tune in next time when yours truly gets the real story of The Road Trip to Toronto. You never know - there might be some surprises lurking.

The Road Trip to Toronto
Dateline: Island Girl Salvage, Elk Grove Village, IL
Hello all you salvagers out there. We've got a new adventure to tell you about - THE ROAD TRIP TO TORONTO!!!
We recently sold a pair of wrought iron strap back chairs to a film company in Canada. We were very excited about about both the sale and the opportunity for two of our pieces to be in the movies! Well, as it turns out, the film company needed the chairs in very short order and our usual craters and shippers had a hard time meeting our time frames. The solution? A Road Trip!!!!
We uncrated the chairs this afternoon and loaded them into the back of Tab's Honda Civic. Yes, they both fit - the ladies are such engineers. As I type this entry, Tab and Liz are now on their way to the Great White North to make the delivery!
Visit again soon - we'll have pictures and more news on... THE ROAD TRIP TO TORONTO!!
